ABOUT SPINA & BENIGNETTI PIANO DUO
For Eleonora Spina and Michele Benignetti, the spirit of music courses through their veins. Coming from a strong musical lineage with backgrounds as soloist and chamber musicians, the duo is an internationally acclaimed recording artist who performs all over the world. The American Record Guide writes: “Their ensemble is spot on, and there is a wonderful flow to the music under their fingers.”
Winner of international music competitions, they will be on tour in Australia on October 2022 performing in Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and in Tasmania. Highlights from their tour will include also masterclasses at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and at the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music and Performance in Melbourne.
The duo will present two new CD recordings: “Visions” released on January 2022 by the London based label Sheva Collection and “Schubert’s Works for piano four hands”, released on June 2022, dedicated to Franz Schubert’s music including a stunning version for piano four hands of “The Trout” Piano Quintet D667 in A Major.
