On Friday September 8, Lupine Studio in Fitzroy North will launch the second exhibition of Melbourne/ Naarm based artist Chris Rigney, presenting a large collection of the artist’s most recent works.

Following a debut exhibition in 2022 which showed 27 large painted artworks, in this second exhibition, Chris Rigney at Lupine Studio the artist presents a new collection of pieces depicting one year living between Brunswick, Gippsland, Beaumaris and Greece; including small works on paper, wall-sized paintings on canvas, sculptures, and more. 

This whimsical collection depicts the artists life and surroundings in an expressive portrayal of humanity; moments of mundanity captured with playful expression. Animals, People, Landscapes, and other diary entries are seen in playful, bright colour. 

The collection is an attempt to share a tender perspective on a challenging world, and is a reflection of the artists evolving style. 

The exhibition will launch at 6pm on Friday September 8 at Lupine Studio in Fitzroy North, Melbourne, and will run for 3 weeks until September 24.
